You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PHYSICAL SCIENCE TECHNICIAN in the PHYSICAL MEDICINE of NAV DOSIMETRY CENTER BETHESDA.
Duties
You will supervise a diverse group of personnel, (i.e. Physical Science Technicians, Shipping Technician, various enlisted military personnel, etc... ), ensuring they are trained per the Command's Procedures and Quality Manuals.
You will monitor subordinates' work and ensure dosimeters are processed and shipped in a timely fashion.
You will develop performance standards and plans, convey them to the employees, and completing the employees' interim counseling and annual performance appraisal.
You will ensure suspect dosimetry results are investigated and recommends actions to the chain of command.
You will provide input on all command issues: budget, personnel, operations, etc.
You will interact w/command representatives to answer questions, interpret data, and recommend courses of action to correct identified problems.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Developing performance standards and plans conveying them to the employees;
Utilizing scientific technique in data collection to interpret data and recommend courses of action to correct the identified problem;
Managing dosimetry processing including processing, transcription, and shipping;
Planning and assigning work to be accomplished by subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of the assignments, and the capabilities of the employee; AND
Providing advice, counsel or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
