This position is located in the Division of Resolutions and Receiverships, Receivership Operations of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. The incumbent will primarily engage in the resolutions and/or receiverships activities of financial institutions and will participate in financial institution closings. Additional selections may be made from this vacancy announcement to fill identical vacancies that occur subsequent to this announcement.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional qualifications information can be found here. CG-13: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG-12/GS-12 grade level or above in the Federal service.  Specialized experience is defined as experience (1) interpreting legal contracts or documents, 2) developing project milestones, 3) releasing collateral documentation of assets 4) drafting guidance or training materials, 5) researching and analyzing financial data and/or loan documentation to prepare financial documents, 6) performing resolution and receivership work which includes closing failed financial institutions, and 7) resolving issues or complaints CG-14: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG-13/GS-13 grade level or above in the Federal service.  Specialized experience is defined as experience (1) interpreting legal contracts or documents, 2) developing and monitoring project milestones, 3) monitoring the release of collateral and the documentation of assets 4) drafting policies, procedures, guidance and training materials, 5) researching and analyzing financial data and/or loan documentation to prepare financial documents, 6) performing resolution and receivership work which includes closing failed financial institutions, and 7) handling inquiries and resolving complaints. Applicants must have met the qualification requirements (including selective placement factors – if any) for this position within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement.
