About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
Duties
Serves as an Information Assurance Information Technology (IT) Specialist (INFOSEC) working at the Network Enterprise Center (NEC) – 30th Signal Battalion (SIG) Integrated Campus Application Network (ICAN).
Responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data at 30th SIG ICAN.
Responsible for providing Command, Control, Communications and Computer Information Management (C4IM) customer services support to regional and installation users.
Works with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) or the Alternate ISSM to manage and coordinate development of Cyber Security Program/Organization Computer Security Systems information processing standards to be used at the organization.
Assists in management of the risk management, security, and contingency planning programs at an information processing organization.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Must obtain or meet and maintain, at minimum, IAM-II. Installation IA personnel requirement meets IA Workforce Compliance, per DoD IA Workforce Enhancement Policy, 8570.10, Dec 2006.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by one year of specialized experience which includes expertise in Trellix ESS (Endpoint Security Solution), ACAS (Assured Compliance Assessment Solution), specifically Tenable.SC and Nessus Manager; experience with strong networking knowledge and ability to demonstrate familiarity with CORA inspection guidelines and proficiency in eMASS.
