About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a Human Resources Specialist with the Manpower and Personnel Directorate-Civilian Personnel Division in Miami, Florida.
Duties
Provide guidance to personnel regarding specialized aspects of civilian personnel programs.
Coordinate with leadership regarding program planning to increase organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
Determine candidate eligibility for specific training to ensure funding and open availability.
Provide technical support to organizational managers pertaining to civilian human resources performance management computerized systems.
Serve as a liaison to the civilian human resources servicing center and the various support activities.
Ensure official case files are properly maintained in accordance with all regulatory guidance to support proposed or final actions.
Advise hiring managers regarding civilian resource management issues relating to future vacancies and recruitment, including work year utilization, civilian pay, personnel levels, workforce performance, and funding.
Develop strategic civilian human resource plans to integrate new organizational policies and procedures.
Coordinate civilian human resource personnel actions with management involving organizational realignments, position description classifications, and recruitments.
Requirements

- Occasional Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) away from home station.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1). Coordinate civilian human resource management programs involving recruitment and placement to ensure the accomplishment of multiple organizational missions; 2). Conduct research pertaining to civilian human resources procedures to provide guidance to organizational leadership and new, prospective employees; 3). Review civilian personnel position descriptions to ensure accuracy prior to implementation of reorganizations involving mission changes and realignments pertaining to the table of distribution and allowances; 4). Examine requests for human resource personnel actions to verify and confirm correct regulatory appointing authorities are documented.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11 or above).
