About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineer, Memphis District, Operations Division, Navigation Branch. The incumbent serves as a principal ordering officer for the Memphis District Operations Division, utilizing the authorities granted by the Contracting Division to ensure the availability of all necessary materials, services, and equipment required for marine repair activities and in support of ongoing MR&T missions.
Duties
Reconciles all purchase activities in accordance with procedures published by Contracting Division and Resource Management Office in the Corps of Engineers Financial Management System (CEFMS).
Inspects, receives, and processes documentation for stock items and special manufactured items.
Conducts and maintains inventory for the Memphis District Ensley Engineering Yard, Operations Division, Navigation Branch.
Confers with District purchasing agents regarding product availability and delivery schedules.
Places orders for replenishment of stock items and special manufactured items for immediate use utilizing an IMPAC card with up to $200K monthly expenditure authority or by coordinating requirements with Contracting Division.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes knowledge and understanding of Supply management; purchasing supplies and equipment; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and providing supply operations support for activities involving specialized supplies, equipment and parts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
