About the Position: This position is located with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Logistics Activity, CEMVM Logistics Management Office, Millington TN. Duty Location: Memphis, TN.

Duties

Determine stock levels needed for non-recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs and projected depletions. Prepare and enter receipts into computer system. Coordinate with shippers in resolving discrepancies. Conduct physical inventories of a broad range of diverse, specialized items. Review record adjustments for accuracy and completeness.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver?s license.
  • This position has a requirement to lift up to 40 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.

Qualifications

This is a Term position. Current permanent Army employee, position may be filled as a temporary promotion or temporary reassignment NTE (not-to-exceed). Temporary promotions or reassignments may be extended up to a maximum of (5) five years. Non-Army employees, position is a Term appointment NTE (not-to-exceed) 13 months up to (4) four years that may be extended up to eight years. If filled as a time limited appointment by a current permanent Army employee, you will have return rights to your permanent position. This position may be made permanent without further competition to those candidates that have non-competitive status. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience with property handling, researching data, pulling reports, fact-finding and ensuring supply support for production. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Inventory ManagementSupply PlanningTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
