About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL).
This position is being filled as a Supervisory Interdisciplinary DB-05 (GS-15) in Vicksburg, MS.
This position will be located in Vicksburg, MS and will allow for situational telework only. This position is NOT eligible for Full time telework.
Duties
Plans, directs, and executes the research of the Engineering Systems and Materials Division (ESMD) division
Developing, planning, managing, directing, and properly executing complex theoretical and applied research and development programs
Utilizes science and engineering for the delivery of advanced technologies.
Supports the planning and execution of all of the ERDC's Army programs and all other agencies.
Uses expert technical knowledge and skills in force protection/force projection and civil works.
Manage and direct complex technical programs from planning and marketing to execution and transition to develop technologies for the Army.

This position is covered by the Science and Technology Laboratory Personnel Management Demonstration Project and this pay band includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to DB-05 (GS-15).

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience to the DB-04 (GS-14) level in the federal service which includes: 1) experience of military engineering and/or civil works business area, 2) demonstrated experience in managing a customer-focused program in civil works area of research and development and/or 3) experience in the budgeting and execution control processes.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
In accordance with the Federal Register Vol. 63, No. 57, dated March 25, 1998, an employee of the Laboratory Demonstration project must have a current average performance score of 2.5 or above in order to be selected for promotion. All applicants currently employed under a Laboratory Demonstration Project must include their most recent performance appraisal score as part of their electronic resume.
