This position is located in the Pre-Foreclosure & Acceleration Section 2 under the Servicing & Asset Management Office (SO).
The incumbent will serve as a senior analyst who leads a group of specialists and representatives to ensure pre-acceleration reviews are conducted in compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, which is required to move forward with the foreclosure process.
The incumbent must be able to read, write and speak fluently in both English and Spanish.
Duties
Handles escalated and more complicated transactions and customer service inquiries.
Provides leadership to lower-graded loan servicing specialists with sound decisions focusing on quality customer service.
Tracks quality and timeliness indicators that reflect overall level of service provided by the unit.
Responds to borrower and third-party phone calls, emails, and faxes from state and field office, attorneys (both private and USDA-Office of General Counsel) to ensure all servicing options are considered once the loan has entered foreclosure status.
Requirements

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.
Time in grade: Applicants must meet one year at the next lower grade to be considered for the next higher grade. (e.g.: one year at the GS-11 grade level for consideration for the GS-12 grade level.)
GS-12 Grade Level: Applicants must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level; or its non-Federal equivalent that demonstrates: ensuring compliance in pre-acceleration reviews and/or pre-foreclosure work in collections, customer service, escrow, payment, payment processing, loan administration, and/or foreclosure sale processing. Reviewing and analyzing delinquent and final legal analysis on loans to determine feasibility of liquidation options to approve or deny recommendation actions. Conducting pre-acceleration reviews on accounts and applying policies, procedures, state laws, rules, and regulations across a nationwide portfolio and best course of action to protect the interest of the Government. Resolving complex problems related to serious delinquent accounts. Communicating with customers, attorneys, borrowers, state and field personnel to exchange information, acquire missing date or facts relevant to specific case processing and disposition, and provide alternatives.
