This position is in the Pre-Foreclosure & Acceleration Section 2, Special Asset Management and Review Branch, Pre-Default Division, Servicing and Asset Management Office (SAMO), Business Center - Operations Office, Rural Development (RD), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
The incumbent serves as the supervisor over the Pre-Foreclosure & Acceleration Section 2, Special Asset Management and Review Branch.
Duties
Performs the full range of supervisory responsibilities typical of a first line supervisor for a staff of approximately 15 technical and administrative employees.
Identifies developmental and/or training needs of subordinates.
Maintains a methodology and system to track daily workload volumes and productivity for the Section.
Monitors volume of work into section and adjusts to meet service goals and standards.
Requirements

- Successful completion of one year probationary period, unless previously served.
- Subject to one year supervisory/managerial probationary period unless prior service is creditable. New USDA supervisors must successfully complete all components of the required training program before the end of their probationary period.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.
Time in grade: Applicants must meet one year at the next lower grade to be considered for the next higher grade. (e.g.: one year at the GS-12 grade level for consideration for the GS-13 grade level.)
GS-13 Grade Level: Applicants must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level; or its non-Federal equivalent that demonstrates: Specialized experience is defined as experience planning, developing, and implementing loss mitigation and loan servicing options to all seriously delinquent customers; implementing inbound and/or outbound customer service call processes and procedures; conducting pre-acceleration reviews to ensure compliance with all applicable state and Federal laws; formulating objectives and allocating available resources necessary to service loans and grants in Single-Family Housing Direct loan program; perform administrative and/or technical supervision; or similar work.
