This position is in the Pre-Foreclosure & Acceleration Section 1, Special Asset Management and Review Branch, Pre-Default Division, Servicing and Asset Management Office (SAMO), Business Center - Operations Office, Rural Development (RD), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The incumbent serves as the supervisor over the Pre-Foreclosure & Acceleration Section 1, Special Asset Management and Review Branch.

Duties

Performs the full range of supervisory responsibilities typical of a first line supervisor for a staff of approximately 15 technical and administrative employees. Oversees the operations of the Pre-Foreclosure and Acceleration Section 1, Special Asset Management and Review Branch which is responsible. Maintains a methodology and system to track daily workload volumes and productivity for the Section.

Requirements

  • You must be a US Citizen or US National.
  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
  • Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
  • Successful completion of one year probationary period, unless previously served.
  • Subject to one year supervisory/managerial probationary period unless prior service is creditable. New USDA supervisors must successfully complete all components of the required training program before the end of their probationary period.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. Time in grade: Time in grade: Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-12. For Level GS-13: Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12; or its non-Federal equivalent. Specialized experience in Analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of program operations costs and reporting the impact on budget, personnel, overtime and automation; planning, developing, and implementing new and improved programs, policies and procedures; planning and executing assignments and establishing work priorities and plans; reviewing completed work of team members for technical accuracy; ensuring staff has knowledge, tools, training and support to accomplish work; providing technical advice and guidance to others. There is no education substitution for this grade level. NOTE: To be considered for this position, you must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements for the GS-1101 series set forth in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards by the closing date of the announcement.
