You will serve as a IT PROJECT MANAGER (PLCYPLN) in the LOGISTICS AND LIFECYCLE ENGINEERING (40000) of NAVWARSYSCEN ATLANTIC CHARLESTON SC.

Duties

You will be responsible for the cost, schedule and performance of C4ISR, Information Warfare (IW) and Tactical systems delivery onboard multiple U.S. Navy surface or subsurface units. You will ensure project milestones are met, identify all potential risks to the successful completion of the work. You will resolve problems affecting cost, quality, schedule and performance of availabilities or contracts. You will provide oversight of execution team to ensure timely submission of all SITREP requirements, all executive summaries are correct, and all reporting requirements are met.

  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 802 level Entry/Apprentice within 12 months of appointment.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading diverse groups of technical personnel to plan, execute and deliver complex installation projects. Qualifying experience may include Manages, leads, or administers project resources; Monitors project activities and resources to mitigate risk; Participates in phase, milestone, and final project reviews. . Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Manage and delegate resources to execute multiple large complex projects. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services, IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Assess needs and requirements necessary to provide solutions in customer support requirements. 3. Oral Communication: Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency must include: Provide technical guidance in designing and maintaining programs; and translating and interpreting functional requirements. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency must include: Evaluate and recommend adoption of new or enhanced approaches to delivering IT services.
