As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.Serves as the Manager for the Planning and Performance Branch in the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) lntegration Office.

Duties

Serves as Branch Manager directing major programs and organizational components through a staff of highly professional and specialized employees. lntegrates work of multiple organizations to meet strategic goals of AUS, AVS, and the FAA and directs the work of subordinate employees for multiple organizational projects and programs across multiple functions and/or disciplines. Work includes complex projects/programs, based on the objectives of the Division and AUS, as a whole. Managerial duties typically affect managers and employees for more than one organizational unit, and include: oversight of records management and Freedom of Information Act functions, and managing and coordinating all activities related to strategic planning; business planning; oversight of Office of lnspector General and Government Accountability Office activities; change management initiatives; communicating the organization's vision and objectives; setting priorities; assigning tasks and responsibilities; monitoring and evaluating performance of organizational units, managers and employees; coaching and developing staff and organizational capabilities; approving leave; and taking or approving corrective/disciplinary actions as appropriate.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
  • A one-year supervisor/managerial probationary period may be required.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized experience: Experience planning, organizing, executing, and controlling an organization's resources, strategic plan, and organizational performance functions, to include reauthorization and FOIA management. Experience leading the work in collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across a large organization.This is a temporary position not-to-exceed one (1) year.. If this position remains temporary, upon completion of this assignment, the selected employee shall return to his/her original permanent position or an equivalent position in the same commuting area. May be extended or terminated at any time at the discretion of management.May be made permanent without further competition.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement.Please ensure you answer all questions and follow all instructions carefully.
