Duties

Responsible for the planning, developing, and administering security cooperation activities with international relations significance. Assist the Security Cooperation Division (SCD) Chief in the development, coordination, integration, and implementation of policies, plans and programs involving USARPAC international activities related to the Indo-Asia Pacific region. Assist in the planning and execution of senior leader counterpart visits and bilateral, multilateral and international meetings or conferences. Evaluate, prioritize, and synchronize proposed security cooperation activities in assigned Indo-Asia Pacific states and provide Branch/Division Chiefs with recommendations to approve or deny each activity. Prepare responses to staff action taskers, professional briefings and executive correspondence, and written after action reports of conference and meeting agenda/topics. Responsible for the oversight of the Military Personnel Exchange Program (MPEP)/Schools of Other Nations (SON) program.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
• This position is designated as Drug Testing Required. Incumbent is subject to random urinalysis testing IAW DA guidelines and must complete a DA 5019.

Combination of Education and Experience: Courses equivalent to a major, or a combination of related courses totaling at least 24 semester hours, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. OR C. Experience: Four years of appropriate experience in one or more of the fields, as shown in A above, in work associated with international organizations, problems, or other aspects of foreign affairs. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes dealing with the development and coordination of policies, programs and plans as it relates to international relations, and security cooperation and planning. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
