About the Position: Position is located at United States Southern Command Exercises and Coalition Affairs Directorate Training and Exercises Division. This is a TERM position NTE 5 years, May be Made Permanent.

Duties

Administer the USSOUTHCOM Learning Management System (LMS). Design computer-based training content to maintain job skills and performance. Plan skills development training ensuring accuracy and relevance. Establish evaluation methods to assess the impact and effectiveness of training programs. Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify knowledge and skills gaps within the organization. Analyze training data to report USSOUTHCOM training readiness within the organization.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
  • This position requires travel away from the duty station up to 10% of the time.
  • This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing.
  • May be required to work overtime.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Developing training materials for relevant courses. 2) Providing policy and procedural guidance to Command, its Service Components and other agencies in areas such as training support coordination, master scheduling, and training evaluation systems. 3) Maintaining a Learning Management System and development of training materials. And 4) Experience analyzing, evaluating, planning, and coordinating complex projects which directly affect operations of the Training Division, Command, and individual training programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12) grade level. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education / Training Program AdministrationPlanning and EvaluatingTraining and Education Analysis Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
