The selectee for this position will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Financial Management Department of NAVAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL.
Duties
You will identify trends in the use of funds to recommend adjustments in program spending.
You will develop recommendations for financial or resource allocation adjustments
You will conduct financial risk assessments, root-cause analysis, and control reviews on financial management systems to identify potential control weaknesses
You will serve as the liaison for Accounting, Fiscal Analysis to include FIAR and Financial Systems.
You will prepare briefs for senior managers on program execution and provides recommendations to correct program variances or problem areas.
You will provide oversight and guidance in the support of reimbursable fund accounting and reconciliation.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Formulate budget to implement program objectives of the organization; 2) Advise personnel on financial management program, policies and procedures; 3) Interpret budgetary regulations to determine impact on organizational programs; and 4) Develop solutions to travel management issues.
