Salary: $163 964 - 191 900 per year

This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Asst Secretary for Community Planning and Development.

Duties

As a Supervisory Management Information Specialist, you will: Produce and maintain data products or tools; performs data evaluation, analysis, and modeling; and performs other data-related activities or services in support of the program functions administered by CPD offices. Be responsible for aligning CPD information systems, databases, and data tools or products with HUD data governance, policies, and procedures. Oversee, monitor, and direct the performance of multiple direct reports, project or functional teams, project managers, and/or product owners.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: Advising senior management on legislative, regulatory, procedural, budgetary, and long range strategic planning related to the development and implementation of automated systems; AND Conducting analysis of systems to determining the nature of system requirements and whether or not new systems or enhancements should be developed; Directing and monitoring day-to-day oversight and contract management over IT contracts; AND Providing technical advice and guidance on data processing and IT development projects and software issues affecting the program office Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
