About the Position: : This position is within the Logistics Division of the Directorate of Supply and Transportation (DS&T) located in Chambersburg, PA.
Duties
Responsible for procurement of authorized commercial off-the-shelf items in support of mission requirements.
Utilizes the Military Standard Requisition and Issue Procedures (MILSTRIP) to execute, monitor, and finalize purchase orders.
Evaluate and execute complex production procurement demand signals.
Monitors mission schedule changes and aged procurement actions to determine alternate procurement methods.
Executes against a variety of Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
- Must be willing to submit a financial disclosure (OGE 450) initially and annually thereafter.
- Must be willing to travel (TDY) up to 15% of the time.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Must obtain and maintain Fiscal Law and Federal Appropriations Law course every 3 years.
- Must be able to complete the Comptrollers Accreditation and Fiscal Law Courses; (Part 1 ) Fiscal Law Foundation and (Part 2) Elective of choice approved by The Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Utilizing Logistic Management Program (LMP) to execute procurement, 2) evaluating workload schedules AND 3) researching variety of methods of procuring materials. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
