The primary purpose of this position is To serve as Chief Engineer and exercise supervisory authorities over the Branch Engineering Sections.
Duties
1. Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Branch Engineering Section, ensuring that the Branch's systems engineering complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
2. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
3. Performs a broad range of COMSE/Cyber engineering analyses and/or engineering assignments entailing unique problems, creativity, innovative use of techniques, advance approaches and or new technology.
4. Utilizes scientific inquiry in the independent development of policy, guidance, and integration initiatives to support assigned projects, studies, or problems.
5. As a recognized expert provides technical guidance, advisory support, lead and assistance on projects and/or major phases for broad and varied operations.
Requirements
- The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty
assignments.

- All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
- Position is designated special-sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain/retain TOP SECRET security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).

- Must have a bachelors degree in a related discipline such as computer or electronics engineering, computer science, or mathematics. Copies of transcripts are required.
- A Masters degree in a technical related field is highly desirable.

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED:
Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
