About the Position: This position is in the Travis Air Force Base 60th Medical Group - Travis Air Force Base. The David Grant USAF Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, California, is the United States Air Force's largest medical center in the continental United States and serves military beneficiaries throughout eight western states.
Duties
Serve as the point of contact and liaison with the personnel flight on military and civilian personnel issues.
Instruct others on changes in administrative policies and procedures.
Develop, establish, updates, and maintain office procedures and records/files of various types to ensure effective and efficient operation of the office.
Responsible for programs including Government Travel Card program, Defense Travel System, safety, drug demand reduction, disinterested drug inventory, in-out processing, time attendance, or unit recognition.
Develop and implements procedures to track program status and maintain program health.
Responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and deposition of required administrative reports and other correspondence.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a National Agency Check with Inquiries security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- Selectees will be required to sign a statement consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
- Incumbent may be required to travel up to 5% for official business.
- Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series unless exempted for medical or administrative reasons.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) organizing management programs; 2) preparing administrative procedures and reports; and 3) maintaining office records/files of various types.
