Duties
Serves as senior General Engineer or Architect and National Account Manager for Sustainability and other pilot program initiatives in the Program Integration Division (PID),
Initiates corrective actions in coordination with USACE Major Subordinate Commands (MSCs), Engineering and Construction Communities of Practice (CoPs), program/project customers and stakeholders.
Attends meetings with appropriate agency officials, A/Es, contractors and representatives of using services to discuss and/or resolve concerns associated with management of planning, design, and construction funding .
Develops and establishes policies, procedures, and best practices in support of USACE Community of Practice (CoP) goals, initiatives, and activities.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- IAW ER 690-1-1212, Para 6, this position has been determined to require professional registration/licensure as a Professional Engineer or a registered Architect is required for this position.

This position may be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 3 years. Term appointments may be extended beyond six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
Specialized Experience:One year of specialized experience in the Federal service which includes: 1) Managing a one-of-a kind world-wide construction programs/projects critical to ensure engineering and construction issues on projects are resolved; 2) Advising non-government entities and/or diverse engineering teams on complex design, construction, and engineering projects; AND 3) Providing guidance and reviews on program execution plans, reprogramming actions, and design and construction directives for reasonableness of cost, conformance with criteria, and compliance with policies and procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
