You will serve as a General Equipment (GE) and Ordnance Operations Team Lead in the Code 1073 GE and Ordnance Branch of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV NEWPORT RI. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-04 pay band encompasses position equivalent to the GS-11 and GS-12.

Duties

You will be responsible for the coordination of supply and industrial support with the overall activities for these programs: General Equipment (GE) Management, Naval Ammunition Logistics Control Inventory Program. You will be responsible for the coordination of supply and industrial support with the overall activities for these programs: International Organization for Standardization Intermodal Inventory/Container Manager, Government Furnished Property. You will be responsible for the coordination of supply and industrial support with the overall activities for these programs: Internal Risk Management Program, Property Pass Management, and Capital Improvement Program settlements. You will act as an expert in GE and Ordnance Management providing technical expertise and guidance in the receipt, storage, inventory, and disposition of General Equipment and Ordnance at Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport. You will provide authoritative advice relating to the management of GE and Ordnance Material at Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport. You will apply best business practices, developing and integrating new technologies to improve inventory visibility/accuracy of GE and Ordnance at Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport. You will prepare decision and informational briefings for Branch Head and other Senior Management at Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport.

Requirements

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • You are willing and able to lift and/or carry loads/items up 15-44 pounds in weight.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower level NT-03 (GS-09/10 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector coordinating supply or industrial support by providing technical guidance for an organization. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
  • A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR
  • Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR
  • An LL.M., if related to the position being filled; OR
  • A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
