You will serve as an EQUIPMENT, FACILITIES, AND SERVICE SUPERVISOR in the Environmental Affairs Division of MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CTR. Duties

You will oversee and conduct the planning, licensing, operations, maintenance, repair and replacement of industrial processing equipment and facilities. You will ensure preventative and corrective maintenance are conducted according to manufactures' schedules and specifications. You will adhere to the equal employment opportunity and merit system principles. You will ensure personnel are properly trained on equipment and operations to ensure safe activities are being conducted. You will ensure operation risk assessments are being proactively performed on a recurring basis.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a Class B driver's license within 6 months of hire.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain licenses by the DoD for required heavy equipment.
  • You will be required to successfully complete the Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response course within six months of assignment.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Overseeing the operation and maintenance of industrial processing equipment and facilities, ensuring operations are to standard operating procedures; AND ensuring preventative and corrective maintenances are conducted according to manufactures' specifications. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related
