Duties

This Program Assistant position is located in the Management & Logistics Section (MLS) Management & Logistics Branch (MLB) Operations Management Division (OMD), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to: Supports the OMD Logistics Accountable Property program by assisting Property Custodians with annual inventories and day to day issuance, collection, recording and excessing of accountable property. Assists the LE/FAMS National Fleet Custodian with G-Car reservations and tracking. Utilizes the Fleet iShare site for tracking, requesting and monitoring all LE/FAMS fleet vehicles. Provides direct fleet support by corresponding with LE/FAMS fleet custodians at all field locations and the GSA-Field Service Representative assigned to LE/FAMS. May assist with movement and reallocation of vehicles from various locations within the NCR. Receives facility inquiries and initiates Facility Service Requests with TSA's Facilities and Infrastructure Branch and follows each request through to completion. Assists with updating floor map files and enters employee seating information into the Real Estate Management System, (REMS). Corresponds with TSA Physical Security related to PIV suite and office access requests and assist all LE/FAM divisions with submission of visitor and PIV badging requests. Serves as a back-up P-Card holder to our primary P-Card holder. Assists with departmental micro-purchases and ensures budgetary thresholds are met before initiating purchases. May assist Approving Officials with the monthly reconciliation of all OMD card holder purchases. Serves as an IT POC and provides and receives direction from TSA- IT End User Services (IT EUS) related to IT equipment and servicing. This includes items such as laptops and associated peripherals, obtaining VOIP phones and providing employee data to IT EUS for proper programming of such devices. Will move IT equipment when needed and track such movements to ensure that Property Custodians are notified. Maintains numerous databases such as the OMD Emergency Call Tree, LE/FAMS Master Phone Roster, travel logs and fleet related logs. Serves as the primary POC for workspace reservations (iReserve) system. Maintains email distribution lists and Alert Warning System (AWS) entries as needed. Coordinates the LE/FAMS daily mail deliveries with the TSA Mailroom and corresponds with the Consolidated Remote Delivery Site (CRDS) to resolve irregularities and provide information to mail recipients when needed. Performs other duties as assigned. The major duties described above reflect the full performance level of this position. Typically, the lower pay band (E Band) performs the same duties but will receive more guidance and training; and/or projects/work assignments may be less complex.

Qualifications

To qualify at the SV-E Pay Band (equivalent to GS-7/8), you must have one year of specialized experience at the SV-D Pay Band or GS-6 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience compiling, tracking and analyzing data, providing advanced computer assistance, scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and supplemental information, preparing written correspondence, providing standard information on administrative policies, maintaining records, monitoring metrics and obtaining and supplying readily available information to staff and superiors. To qualify at the SV-F Pay Band (equivalent to GS-9/10), you must have one year of specialized experience at the SV-E Pay Band or GS-8 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience performing a wide range of diverse administrative support assignments by assisting managers in compiling, tracking and analyzing data, providing advanced computer assistance, serving as a point of contact for travel and custodial issues, preparing correspondence and documents, maintaining records, monitoring metrics, researching files and records and assembling technical information. Credit for experience is given based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a part-time ratio, i.e., working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience. No additional credit is given for overtime. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.
