Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (2) years by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted. Position may be made permanent without further competition.
Duties
Ensure that internal systems and procedures for carrying out the organization's administrative functions meet the requirements of balancing costs, benefits, productivity, and effectiveness.
Establish internal procedures to secure adequate control in terms of deadlines, progress reports, and directives.
Provide advice and assistance to administrative support personnel in the Support Services Division in areas of suspense tracking, time issues, and any other problems that may arise in their day-to-day activities.
Serve as alternate to input and assist with the automated Time and Attendance Systems.
Advise employees, supervisors, and managers on basic training program policies, regulatory requirements and procedures.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Occasional travel may be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing a variety of management services essential to the direction and efficient operation of the organization; maintaining comprehensive databases to provide information for decisions and in preparing reports; conducting research for information contributing to organizational policies and procedures; advising on the processes and procedures of performance management systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/ level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
