THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTER, Position Description Number D2320000 and is part of the KS 190 Air Refueling Wing, National Guard.
Requirements

- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.

- May be required to possess a valid operator’s license to drive a motor vehicle to and from work sites
- Technicians are required to perform annual task evaluations on each inspection duty in order to maintain certification
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.

Qualifications
Military Grades: E2 - E5
MILTARY ASSIGNMENT: 2A7X2
* Must be willing and able to cross train into the compatible AFSC
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience with nondestructive examination of metals, composites, ceramics, plastics and materials for internal and external structural defects, delaminations, corrosion, and moisture penetration using magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, eddy current, radiographic, ultrasonic, or other types of nondestructive test processes and equipment.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have experience with equipment setup, operation, adjustment, and evaluation or interpretation of test readings or results within established parameters for acceptance or rejection.
PHYSICAL EFFORT: Prolonged standing, frequent lifting of parts and materials weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted, and occasionally over 50 pounds with assistance of lifting devices or other workers is required. Both hands and good eyesight required. Work requires stooping,
bending, reaching, stretching, and climbing in, on, or through aircraft with equipment
WORKING CONDITIONS: Works indoors and outdoors. May work in inclement weather on icy, wet, hot, and slippery ramps, work stands, ladders, confined spaces and in temperature and humidity extremes. Subject to the dangers of toxic fumes, high pressure air and fluids, fast actuating aircraft surfaces such as speed brakes, flaps, and landing gear, engine noise, heat blast, and intake suction. The employee is exposed to all the above and may be subject to dangers of high voltage, chemicals, dust, dirt, grease, lubricants, paints, solvents, propeller hazard, x-ray radiation, and explosive and chemical munitions processing operations
