This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DIB-MRTFB to recruit for positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Serve as the Unit Program Coordinator, providing direct support to the Squadron Commander, for the 96th MDG, Eglin AFB, FL.
A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized.
Salary negotiation may be available for candidates who are new to Federal service.
Advance leave accrual may be authorized.
Duties
Serve as the primary point of contact to the squadron commander/director for all administrative support programs.
Directly assists the commander/director in the management of all administrative support program functions.
Responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and deposition of required administrative reports and other correspondence.
Assists in planning, administering, and monitoring manpower resource requirements.
Acts as the point of contact for all newly assigned personnel.
Analyzes manpower documents for accuracy and ensures that products are distributed to customers.
Responsible for programs to include but not limited to, Government Travel Card (GTC), Defense Travel System (DTS) Admin, Government Purchase Card (GPC), and Civilian Timecard program.
Serves as the organizational point of contact and liaison with the personnel flight on military and civilian personnel issues.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain requirements for a Tier-2 clearance.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: managing administrative support program functions for the director such as employee travel, evaluations, awards and decorations, and managing personnel data systems such as the Military Personnel Data System (MILPDS); use various office automation software to produce an assortment of documents; and/or utilize various Microsoft Office programs such as PowerPoint to prepare slides for the director's monthly and quarterly executive meetings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
