Volunteer work helps build critical competencies; knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify for the GS-13: Applicants must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience MUST include all of the following: Executing plans for procurement and integration of IT equipment, supplies, support and maintenance; and Independently performing equipment installation or secure configuration, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, or administration of IT services for a corporate Local Area Network (LAN), cloud, or system level networked environment. To qualify for the GS-14: Applicants must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 in the Federal service. Specialized experience MUST include all of the following: Oversees IT teams performing equipment installations or relocations, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, or administration of IT services for a corporate LAN, cloud, or system level networked environment; Managing and leading the overall program execution effort of an IT system and the supporting staff, such as making cost-effective investment decisions, meeting customer requirements, following standards and regulations, setting internal Operating Plan goals, analyzing team work products and system integration, supporting subject matter experts by obtaining resources, managing cyber security programs; and Preparing multi-year Local Area Network (LAN) IT budget and next fiscal year spend plan and ensuring management of resources.
