The Congressional Research Service (CRS) Office of Administrative Operations is seeking a Human Capital Management Specialist for its Workforce Management Section. The primary focus for the position will be position classification and staffing; however, the selectee may occasionally be assigned work in other areas such as performance management, training and development, or workforce management.

Duties

The selectee will serve as Human Capital Management Specialist in the Workforce Management Section of CRS’s Office of Administrative Operations. Working in a collaborative, team environment, the ideal candidate will apply strong writing, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to advance program objectives.

Qualifications

Applicants must have had progressively responsible experience and training sufficient in scope and quality to furnish them with an acceptable level of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position without more than normal supervision. Knowledge of Human Resources Principles and Practices. ** Ability to Gather, Assimilate, and Convey Information. ** Ability to Communicate in Writing. **  Ability to Apply Analytical and Evaluative Techniques.  Ability to Serve as a Liaison in Support of Administrative Programs. Ability to Plan and Organize. Ability to Interact Collaboratively with Others. Ability to Communicate Effectively Other Than in Writing.
