This position is in the Insurance Section, Escrow Branch, Customer Assistance Division, Servicing and Asset Management Office, Business Center Operations Office, Rural Development.
The incumbent must be able to read, write and speak fluently in both English and Spanish.
Duties
Functions include processing financial/accounting transactions to establish and adjust loan balances and repayment activity on borrower accounts.
Maintains and analyzes servicing system reports for special analysis and to maintain servicing system data integrity.
Consults with higher graded employees and considers existing problems and constraints and recommends courses of action, either functionally or through automated means. Becomes familiar with policies and procedures related to assigned area.
Performs special projects, which may require functional and systems automation liaison duties.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.
GS-07: Applicants must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the Federal Service; or its non-Federal equivalent. Specialized experience is defined as resolving and responding to inquiries related to name/address changes, deceased borrowers, social security numbers, year-end statements, interest methodologies, preauthorize debits, verification of mortgage, 2nd lien holder requests, loan amortization, payment and delinquency inquiries, billing statements, document copies, and other loan servicing matters; researching issue determinations, corrects issues, and responds to inquiries from customers; responding to customer inquiries related to mortgage loan servicing matters using customer service skills and strategies.
There is no substitution of education for experience at the GS-07 grade level.
