You will serve as a Fuel Distribution System Operator in the Fuel Department of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER JACKSONVILLE.

Duties

You will independently initiate, control, and terminate fuel transfers throughout the tank farm system. You will receive fueling/defueling requests from customers and prioritize, schedule operations, and prepare appropriate documentation and reports You will direct the loading and unloading of fuel aboard tankers, barges, and the transfer of fuel from one tank to another within the tank storage areas. You will operate pick-up trucks, vans, stake trucks, 5,000-gallon refueler trucks, tractor/trailer trucks, forklifts, farm tractors with attachments. You will perform operator-level preventative maintenance of fuel facilities.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations.
• This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

I work on my own initiative under general supervision subject to occasional inspection.
