About the Position: The incumbent of this position is responsible for providing course and student management; systems automation, administrative, and technical support; and customer service to the users of the Civilian Education System (CES).

Duties

This list is not all-inclusive: Determine curriculum support requirements and assist students by identifying issues for solution. Assist in development of class schedules. Review and process user requests for access to learning systems. Prepare diplomas prior to graduation. Prepare a variety of statistical and narrative reports. Collect, compile, and input data into automated student management systems such as Army Training Requirements and Resource System (ATRRS), Civilian Human Resources Training Application System (CHRTAS), and Blackboard.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance throughout the duration of employment.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position may require the incumbent to perform temporary duty (TDY) up to 10% of the time.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). -OR- Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Education, Adult Education, Business, Business Admin/Management, Statistics, or Mathematics. (NOTE: You MUST submit copies of ALL your transcripts.) -OR- Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. (NOTE: You MUST submit copies of ALL your transcripts.) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education and Training Program AdministrationInformation Technology Customer SupportTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
