About the Position: This incumbent will serve as an Educational Technician (Student Services) in the Combined Arms Center and Fort Leavenworth, Army Management Staff College, Operations Division.

Duties

This list is not all-inclusive: Plan and provide student support services for approximately 3500 students attending Civilian Education Systems (CES) courses. Assist with plans for classroom support requirements. Liaise between students and support agencies to resolve issues. Receive and respond to student inquiries and complaints. Assist with travel order requests and vouchers using the Defense Travel System (DTS). Assist students with billeting and transportation issues. Coordinate requests for supplies and equipment for classroom instruction.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a T3 (Secret) security clearance.
  • The incumbent may be expected to travel in a temporary duty status up to 25% of the time for this position.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). -OR- Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Education, Adult Education, Business, Business Admin/Management, Statistics, or Mathematics. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of ALL your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of ALL your transcripts.) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education and Training Program AdministrationInformation Technology Customer SupportTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
