Duties
Serves as Operations Manager for Distribution Center operations, performing analytical studies of internal storage and distribution activities, and evaluating the effectiveness of external distribution support provided.
Develops and administers major Distribution Center programs related to receipt, storage, issue, pack, kitting, shipment, inventory, and care of stock in storage of general supplies, as well as commodities requiring special handling and processing.
Will be required to develop and implement solutions for new business opportunities or as a result in changes to warfighter operations.
Responsible for directing the work of a large distribution organization and is held account able for the success of specific line and staff programs, projects, functions, or activities.
Directs and conducts administrative and personnel management with responsibilities in labor relations, employee recognition, position management, budget, equal opportunity programs, planning, scheduling and work coordination.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Distribution Facilities Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to the position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule(GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulator requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Performs analytical assignments involving specific issues associated with distribution operations related to receipt, storage, issue, pack, kitting, shipment, inventory, and care of stock in storage of general supplies, as well as commodities requiring special handling and processing.
Conducts studies of and evaluates relationship between customer support requirements, storage, inventory, issue and delivery, by the most efficient and economical means.
Applies continuous improvement values, principles, and tools to Distribution Center operations.

Education
