Qualifications
NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for the GS-12 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level defined as, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-11 level defined as assisting with complex grants and cooperative agreements, providing consultative assistance on the interpretation of policies and procedures, managing pre-award, award, and post-award of grants and making recommendations on new or proposed grants process changes.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of grants management regulations, directives, statutory authorities, guidelines, and procedures.
Skill in applying financial analysis techniques for evaluation of grant proposals.
Ability to prepare awards ensuring they are complete, accurate and consistent with applicable laws, regulations or policies
Skill in performing grants management post-award and/or closeout activities.
Skill in written communication, sufficient to respond to inquiries of an often complex nature.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
