About the Position: Serve as the Materials Handler Leader (Fork Lift Operator/Motor Vehicle Operator) with the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobility, and Security (DPTMS) at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.
Duties
Serve as the Lead Material Handler (MVO/FLO) of the Training Support Center Warehouse Branch.
Perform as the subject matter expert for warehousing tasks related to the loaning, stocking, and storing of lending property.
Performs quality review of storage operations and correct discrepancies or ensures corrective action is taken.
Responsible for the Quality Control/Quality Assurance to ensure Customers receive the right TADSS/MILES/GTA, at the right time, in the right quantity.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The incumbent of this position must be able to obtain and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license.
- A pre-employment physical is required.
- This position requires the employee to possess the applicable license(s) or authorization(s) to operate assigned equipment.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Materials Handler Leader (FLO/MVO) without more than normal supervision. Ability to perform common duties which include warehousing tasks related to the loaning, stocking, and storing of lending property, defined as training aids, devices, simulators and simulations (TADSS), multiple laser engagement system (MILES) and graphic training aids (GTA), and components and containers related to that property. Conduct thorough reviews of storage operation(s) and correct discrepancies accordingly. Report findings and serious damage to supervisor for action. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

Physical Conditions: Works on hard surfaces and in work areas requiring incumbent to stand, stoop, bend, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. May be required to work at a rapid pace for long periods at a time. Frequently lifts and carries items that weight as much as 70 pounds and assists other employees when moving items over 70 pounds.
Working Conditions: Work is performed in cold, drafty, damp, or hot areas. The work may be dirty, dusty, and greasy and the incumbent is frequently exposed to the possibility of cuts, scrapes, bruises, and lacerations. Safety shoes, safety glasses, earmuffs or plugs, and gloves are issued or available for use.
