About the Position: The incumbent will be assigned to the 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Transportation Division, at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
Duties
Prepare and type documentation in support of the Motor Transport Officer.
Requisition supplies and equipment for the Branch.
Serve as liaison between units and post activities on matters concerning customer satisfaction.
Determine and recommend approval for additional equipment, supplies, and materials within the terms of contracts.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Current Civilian Employees of the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Fort Leonard Wood Logistics Readiness Center, within the local commuting area. Consideration will also be given to current Department of Army Civilian employees with competitive status.
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Performing transportation support work such as assisting with monitoring procedures used in inspecting Motor Vehicle Operators (MVOs) performance; 2) Assisting with requisitioning supplies and/or equipment for an organization; and 3) Resolving transportation related problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
