About the Position: This position is located at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, El Paso, TX.

Duties

Coordinate installation of MEDPROS QWS3270 and Remote Information Data Entry System (RIDES) software programs, system requirements and troubleshooting. Monitor the medical readiness of hospital and units for compliance of directives and regulations. Direct workshops and training sessions with emphasis on readiness reporting and unit readiness issues. Develop reporting strategies to report Post Deployment/Redeployment in accordance with applicable directives and local procedures. Represent the hospital during mobilization planning workshops (MPW).

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes coordinating medical readiness training classes; utilizing various medical readiness and mobilization software systems and programs, such as the Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), Medical Occupation Data System (MODS) and Data Requirement Transfer System (DARTS); and monitoring immunization systems and unit readiness status reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Healthcare Management and Healthcare Education. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education and TrainingOrganizational AwarenessTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07). Time in Grade must be met within 30 days of announcement closing date.
