About the Position: This position is located at: The United States Military Entrance Processing Command, Detroit Military Entrance Processing Station, Operations Group, Testing Section, Troy, Michigan.
Duties
Implements the marketing plan by initiating contacts with schools to meet testing goals.
Serves as the point of contact for the Career Exploration Program (CEP) for the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) area of responsibility.
Maintains the master school testing schedule for the MEPS area of responsibility.
Confirms testing dates and maintains liaison with school officials, test administrators, test proctors, and other appropriate recruiting service representatives.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must be a qualified typist and type 40 WPM.
- Evening and weekend work as required.
- Must have or be able to obtain a driver's license.

Specialized Experience Statement: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) briefing individuals on testing procedures; 2) distributing, scoring and/or proctoring examinations; 3) entering testing information into databases AND 4) utilizing data to create reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
