Duties

Implements the ASVAB marketing plan by initiating contacts with schools to meet testing goals. Incumbent serves the point of contact for the ASVAB Career Exploration Program (CEP) for the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) area of responsibility. Maintains the master school testing schedule for the MEPS area of responsibility. Confirms testing dates and maintains liaison with school officials, test administrators, test proctors, and other appropriate recruiting service representatives.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.
  • This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
