This position will be assigned to JBSA Canyon Lake, TX.
This is a regular part time category position with guaranteed 20 hours per week, may work up to 40 hrs./week. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits.
Duties
Serves as an office assistant performing various clerical and administrative duties in support of Canyon Lake. Office automation duties include word processing in support of the clerical and administrative work. Prepares a wide variety of recurring correspondence, internal reports, and other documents regarding both park marinas. Responsible for tracking and updating marina rental slips and dry storage areas as well as assigning new customers to spaces. Responsible for keeping marina and dry storage customer files updated and current. Also responsible for accumulating marina financial data to be utilized in consolidate reports. Reviews and processes incoming correspondents in regards to marina rentals. Transmits and receives documents and messages electronically using a personnel computer. Receives logs, routes incoming mail and work orders and maintains necessary suspense controls. Receives telephone calls, greets visitors, ascertains the nature of the call or visit, and provides complete and clear information that addresses most routine or procedural issues. Reconciles daily paperwork and enter information in to SAIS. Update monthly income spreadsheet, compile financial information for the week and forward to manager for the weekly activity report. This position will be lead reservationist and will train and assist other reservationist on customer service and funds handling when required.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- To be considered for this position, the applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or a Legal U.S. Resident for a minimum of 3 years and must reside in/around the area
- This position has been identified as a Test Designated Position (TDP). The incumbent of this position will be subject to a pre-employment and random drug testing. Must have a valid driver's license.
- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Qualifying Experience:
Must have responsible experience in clerical or office work that has provided knowledge of office automation software (MS Office including Power Point, Word, Outlook, Access, and Excel, RV Trip Setter), correspondence, formats, grammar, and spelling. Requires experience involving most or all of the duties of the position. Experience using Rec Trac, Trip Setter is desirable. Must be a qualified typist, typing a minimum of 40 WPM.
