About the Position: This position is located with U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center at Fort Cavazos, TX.
Duties
Uses skill in negotiating/maneuvering over rough/unpaved surfaces in holding yards and major item receiving and shipping areas.
Uses this knowledge and ability to resolve recurring problems and perform a range of standard clerical assignments such as filing documentation and indexing materials for identification purposes.
Operates computer terminals or personal computers to perform records search, data input, and data corrections.
Processes updates and transactions into the appropriate Retail Supply, Supply Support Activity (SSA) stock record account.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position is covered by the 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control act of 1968. Persons convicted of a Misdemeanor or Felony Crime of Domestic Violence is not eligible for the position.
- This position is designated as Drug Testing Required. Incumbent is subject to random urinalysis testing in accordance with AR 690-85.
- A pre-employment physical is required.
- Required to obtain and maintain a valid state driver’s license and any installation and or DoD License required for the type of vehicle being drive including the operation of a government passenger vehicle.
- You must be able to obtain and maintain forklift training certification and license.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience:One year of specialized experience which includes; 1) Preparing procedures for annual inventories; 2) Assisting with conducting investigations to determine causes of inventory discrepancies; and 3) Preparing documentation for shipping and packing. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).

Completed four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages.
