About the Position: Perform a wide range of specialized administrative work for a diverse, technically complex, and geographically dispersed organization.
This position is located at: United States Army Engineer District, Huntington, Regional Rivers Repair Fleet, Pittsburgh Engineer Warehouse and Repair Station, Neville Island, Pennsylvania.
Duties
Coordinate new employee orientation, schedule and payment of pre-employment physicals, and pre-employment drug test.
Oversee the handling, typing, distribution, and filling of communications and reports.
Generate regular and recurring administrative reports such as travel, training, leave, overtime, and equipment usage reports.
Complete travel vouchers in accordance with the Joint Travel Regulations and monitor proper and prompt payment to employees.
Research travel modes and accommodations perform cost analysis and recommend most efficient method of travel and make appropriate travel arrangements.
Procure supplies and services utilizing an automated financial management system and Government Purchase Card.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) 25%.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes maintaining files/records, making traveling arrangements, preparing and processing training requests, tracking completed training, and maintaining training records; preparing and monitoring labor and fund request; using an automated personnel database to initiate personnel actions; serving as timekeeper and/or complete weekly labor reports.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
