About the Position: The U.S. Military Entrance Processing Command, with headquarters in North Chicago, IL, is a jointly staffed command and is staffed by representatives of all branches of the Armed Forces. The command, through its 65 military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS), determines whether applicants are qualified for enlistment based on standards set by each of the services. This position will be filled on a permanent basis.

Duties

Train subordinates on proper test score data entry techniques. Resolve testing score inconsistencies or problems. Conduct testing sessions when required. Review test scores for validity and consistency. Enter validated test score into automated systems. Prepare reports on the testing program for management. Oversee test security, control, and storage procedures. Conduct inventories of controlled materials.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has been designated as non-sensitive and requires a personnel security background check.
  • This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state issued or US territory issued driver's license.
  • This position may require the incumbent to work regular evening and weekend work as required.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience along--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Educational and Vocational TestingIntegrity/HonestyManages and Organizes Information Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). If you are a current Federal employee, you must include your pay plan, series and grade in your work experience(s) on your resume submission and/or upload supporting documentation (within-grade increase SF50) to show that you meet the time-in-grade requirement.
