Duties
You will supervise the daily performance of personnel to include Marines, Civil Service personnel and contractors.
You will oversee the planning, development, procurement, testing, integration, installation, utilization, modification, management, troubleshooting and maintenance of the network services to support the command.
You will perform all functions involved in long-range and short-range planning for the delivery of network services throughout the region by developing project timelines, budget, system/network resources usage policies and procedures.
You will provide direction, guidance, and develop policy for local telecommunication network and system operation unites, centers or network control facilities.
You will evaluate the levels and quality of operations and take corrective actions to resolve problems such as excessive failures or delays or high operating costs.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 within 12 months of appointment.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Identifying and developing data required for use in the planning and implementation of IT policy initiatives in support of development programs; Participating in the development and documentation of long- and short-range policy planning efforts; Coordinating activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees.
In addition to the specialized experience above, your resume must include information technology related experience which demonstrates each of the following four basic competencies, as defined:
