As Administrative Officer for a Technology Center (TC), the employee is responsible for the accomplishment of administrative and budgetary actions, records management, and management/program analysis functions. The work involves studies of administrative and managerial processes and procedures to assess productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency of program operations.

Qualifications

You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. You must meet all eligibility and qualifications requirements by the closing date of the job announcement. Additional information on the qualification requirements is outlined in the OPM Qualifications Standards Handbook of General Schedule Positions. It is available for your review on the Administrative Officer Series 0341 Specialized Experienceis experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service. Candidate for the GS-09 grade level must have at least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade GS-07 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Performing quality reviews Providing advice to identify issues. Recommend changes to improve overall quality of technical support services to include providing administrative support to program initiatives. OR Master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B or J.D., if related. Candidates for the GS-11 grade level must have at least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade GS-09 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience performing quality reviews for a variety of functions, Experience providing direction and guidance on resolving issues. Experience implementing and developing procedures to maintain the quality of technical support services and administrative support for program initiatives. OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related OR Combination of Education and Experience. A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
