This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Duties

Plan and schedule work assignments on a daily or project-to-project bases within the instructions and time limits provided. Where work progress indicates the needs for major changes in procedure or sequence, consults with supervisor to obtain approval Make minor adjustments in procedures and sequence of operations as necessary to accomplish work effectively and economically. Inspect completed work for quality and work order requirements. Advise and counsel workers on how to improve their performance and explain new work techniques. Identify employee training needs and initiates recommendations to provide necessary training.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Manufacturing Supervisor without more than normal supervision. I can perform the work of a Manufacturing Supervisor, such as: planning work schedules and sequence of operations for subordinate employees; determining skills, personnel, materials and equipment required to complete assignments; establishing deadlines based on organization timelines/regulations; counseling employees on performance and problems to determine corrective action. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
