Duties

Plan and schedule work assignments on a daily or project-to-project bases within the instructions and time limits provided. Where work progress indicates the needs for major changes in procedure or sequence, consults with supervisor to obtain approval Inspect completed work for quality and work order requirements. Make minor adjustments in procedures and sequence of operations as necessary to accomplish work effectively and economically. Advise and counsel workers on how to improve their performance and explain new work techniques. Identify employee training needs and initiates recommendations to provide necessary training.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Qualifications

Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) [1 year] by a current a permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted. Position may be made permanent without further competition. Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a Term appointment will be appointed/converted into a Term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.
