You will serve as an Equipment Specialist in the Radiation, Detection, Indication and Computation (RADIAC) Division of the Ordnance Systems Engineering and Management Department, NMC ORD SYS ENG MGMT.
Duties
You will serve as the RADIAC Field Manager (RFM) for the direct management and coordination of issues pertaining to RADIAC policies, procedures and instructions found in NAVSEA SE700-AA-MAN-230/RADIAC.
You will manage various RADIAC related tasks under the direction of the RADIAC Program Director (GS-15) in accordance with the RFM.
You will provide the technical oversight of their geographical assigned RCLs and provides corporate guidance as needed in resolving programmatic issues between the RCL and the customers.
You will prepare, direct, or assist in preparation of technical correspondence and reports related to work being accomplished in the RCL
You will develop and recommend modifications to improve or eliminate problems in field maintenance, operation or logistical support.
You will recommend disposal or other disposition of unserviceable equipment based upon its condition and field requirements.
You will verify ship deployment schedules.
You will review RCL Budget Tracking System submittals for consistency, accuracy, and logic and resolves budget issues or problems.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1. Experience with interpreting and following Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), and NAVSEA policy and directives.
2. Experience preparing and executing budgets based on workload and manning levels.
3. Experience with preparing formal correspondence in response to audit reports, policy changes, and customer allowance changes.
4. Knowledge of radiation detection principles and the various types of radiation.
