You will serve as an EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST in the FLEET READINESS CENTER MID-ATLANITC, FRCMA VRT DEPARTMENT, PERF OPS & SUPT BRANCH of FLTREADCEN DET MID ATLANTIC PAX RIVER.

Duties

You will provide Naval material and service. You will utilize procurement system. You will interpret blueprint, manual, and technical materials to determine requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver?s license.
  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties: 1) Providing Naval material and service(s) procurement support to assist in the completion of multi-year projects in accordance with customer requirements and engineering specifications, 2) Utilizing procurement systems and purchase methods to monitor and purchase material, parts, and other support resources; 3) Interpreting blueprints, manuals, and technical materials to determine material and resource requirements. arts, and other support resources; 4) Collecting, interpreting, and developing specialized information about ALRE equipment; 5) Reviewing proposed purchases to ensure they meet the current configuration requirements.
