You will serve as a HOUSING MANAGER (INSPECTOR) in the Fleet, Family Housing Department (N93) of NAVBASE KITSAP SILVERDALE WA.

Duties

You will promote good relations between residents and neighboring communities. You will act as point of contact for the Property Manager to ensure good coordination on issues affecting the installation, residence and public-private venture (PPV) partner. You will investigate and resolve tenant-landlord complaints to recommend resolution, or arbitrate disputes. You will conduct studies and surveys of family housing regulations governing quality of life to recommend new regulations or amendments to improve housing administrative policies and living conditions for occupants.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You may be recalled to duty and/or required to work overtime, including on an emergency basis.
• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting housing facility inspections and identifying deficiencies; 2) Interpreting, explaining and applying technical requirements and specifications to quality problems encountered in such activities as audits, facility inspections, or investigations; and 3) Preparing reports and point papers that include information relative to data collection, analysis and recommendation for action. OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree.
